Anne & Ian Marshall are a singing duo who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent. The duo met in 1972 with Ian working as an Army Chef and Anne working in the women's Royal Army, and they were married for forty four years and had four children, one of whom served in the Army at the time of their audition. They received David Walliams' Golden Buzzer.
In their audition, the duo sang 'Crazy In Love' by Beyoncé. All four judges enjoyed the act. Before the judge's comments, David got up on the judges' table and stepped on the Golden Buzzer, sending the pair to the Semi-Finals. David described the duo as The spirit of [BGT]', with Simon adding 'For once I get it, it's acts like you who make me love this show and love this country'.
In the Semi-Finals, the duo sang 'Bad Romance' by Lady Gaga. Alesha remarked 'You are quirky, adorable, I loved the song choice [and] I love the little moves in there', with Amanda adding 'I was giggling all the way through that, it was absolutely bonkers but I did enjoy it'. Their performance did not earn enough votes to reward them a spot in the Final, and they finished in 8th place in their Semi-Final.
Trivia[]
- They were the only Golden Buzzer act from Series 10 not to make the Final.
