Ant & Dec (Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly) are the presenters of Britain's Got Talent. They have hosted the show together since Series 1, and were initially given the same Golden Buzzer rights as the Judges since its inauguration in Series 8 up until Series 16, however as of Series 17 their Golden Buzzer rights slightly differ from that of the judges with each judge being entitled to two whilst they remain entitled to but one. Between the recording of the auditions and the Semi-Finals of Series 12 of Britain's Got Talent, Ant was involved in a drink-driving incident, leaving Dec to host the live shows solo.
Outside of BGT[]
Despite hosting Britain's Got Talent, they also host the spin-off Britain's Got Talent: The Champions. Ant & Dec also host two other shows that regularly air on ITV. One being Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway which has so far ran for 18 seasons with the 100th episode airing on the 3rd March 2018. Another show the duo do (with the exception of Series 18 in which Dec was joined by Holly Willoughby) is I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! which has so far ran for 22 Series.
Interactive Acts+ Judges Prank[]
Whilst the duo's main role in the program is presenting, they have often been called onto the stage to be an interactive part of acts such as magic or danger acts. In Series 8, the pair each got a brief chance to be a judge, as Simon Cowell was not present for part of the auditions. In Series 13, the duo teamed up with co-presenter Stephen Mulhern to audition in disguise under the name Disco Dogs, for which they received four 'yesses' from the Judges.
