Aquabatique

Aquabatique are a swimming Display Team who reached the Final of Series 6 of Britain's Got Talent. They were aged between 21 & 28 at the time of their audition.

The group are all former international synchronised swimmers for Team GB in the Olympics, however one member was deselected from the 2012 Olympics and saw BGT as 'almost like a second chance for [her]'.

Their audition took place within a large outdoor swimming pool. In their audition they performed to a number of songs, including 'Chariots Of Fire', 'Gold', and 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger', as they performed various tricks such as jumping out of the tanks and back into them, and culminated their performance with one member seemingly creating a bridge by spinning two members around using their feet. David described their performance as 'one of the hardest things to do, as you need such strength to do that', with Alesha adding her that the group were 'so clever', 'strong' & 'beautiful'.

In the Semi-Finals they performed an underwater ballet routine to a medley of James Bond theme tunes, wherein they performed several underwater flips, jumped between water tanks, span their bodies around, split into two groups of two who span around underwater in the central tanks and one member of both groups of two jumping between two water tanks. Amanda described their choreography as 'fabulous', with Simon adding 'I thought it was absolutely brilliant'. They reached the Final after receiving three votes from Simon, Amanda & David during the Judges Vote as Alesha voted for Billy George.

In the Final, they performed an underwater ballet routine to a medley of music, wherein they initially used all four water tanks before then using two of the water tanks with two groups of two members spinning each other around underwater, before two of these moved to the central water tank. David remarked 'I don't think people out there appreciate how hard what you do is', with Amanda adding 'How you do that, how you achieve what you do in that small space is incredible'. They concluded the series in tenth place overall.
