Ben Blaque

Ben Blaque is both a danger act and a crossbow performer who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent. He was thirty seven years old at the time of his audition and hailed from Missouri in the USA. He returned for Series 16 as part of Simon Cowell’s prank on new judge Bruno Tonioli however it was never televised.

Series 10

In his audition, Blaque retrieved a crossbow and had a female assistant stand beneath a target whilst holding a balloon up towards it as Blaque popped this with a crossbow. Blaque then borrowed Alesha's phone before shooting the crossbow backwards and hitting another balloon held towards a target by his assistant. He then asked for Simon to join him on stage and trigger a crossbow to a hit an apple atop of his head whilst he were blindfolded, before Blaque placed a bag atop of his head and Simon rang a bell to operate a crossbow in order to hit the apple beside the target atop of Blaque's head. David jokingly remarked that he 'Had an opportunity to kill Simon Cowell, and [he] blew it', with Amanda going on to describe Blaque's performance as 'Incredible'.

In his Semi-Finals performance, Blaque got Alesha to join him on stage. Blaque showed her four crossbows aimed at a wall which he called 'Crossbow Roulette.' He then stated that four were aimed at him, yet one was not. Each crossbow was attached to a lever and a string tied to the trigger to hit the levers. Alesha was then given the option to pick four and pull the lever back in Blaque's cue. Blaque then had himself strapped to a wall, as he explained what Alesha had to do once again. She picked four, three, and one, as she had seemed to have pulled four twice by mistake. None of the arrows hit Blaque, as he later thanked her for 'not killing [him]'. David remarked 'This is a brilliant speciality act and its exactly the kind of act that can make a huge impact at something like the Royal Variety show', with Alesha adding 'I think you've got fantastic stage presence [but] it's different being up there [and] I'm sure if you make it to the Final, it could be an even more incredible act'.

Series 16

In January 2023, Blaque returned to help Simon Cowell prank Bruno Tonioli. The prank consisted of making Bruno be blindfolded and shoot a crossbow before using a fake arrow to make it seem like he had shot him. The prank however was never televised as upon being reported upon by the press following taping, several people stated that they believed the prank was in poor taste. The producers would later respond to this stating that the prank was light hearted and was never meant to cause any kind of offence, however it is likely that due to the backlash it was pulled from the shows airing. Due to his performance being unofficial and but being a prank, it would have been rendered impossible for him to advance any further, thus disqualifying him from the competition.

Before BGT

In 2012, Blaque appeared on AGT in it's seventh season, reaching the Quarter-Finals. In 2015 Blaque began touring alongside "The Illusionists" and has currently performed eight shows, with his latest having occurred in 2018.

After BGT

In 2017, Blaque reached the Semi-Finals of Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales before being eliminated in the Semi-Finals in the Second Group of Semi-Finalists who received the lowest two percentiles of the televote.

In early 2020, Blaque competed on the second series of America's Got Talent: The Champions where he was eliminated in the preliminaries and was also buzzed off due to a danger to his safety as his 'Crossbow Roulette' act went wrong and could have potentially endangered his life.

In Mid May 2020 & Mid June 2020, Blaque appeared upon two episodes of 'Masters of Illusion'. In Mid July 2020 Blaque competed upon France Got Talent’s; Battle of the Judges, which was most probably the French format for 'The Champions', however he lost his duel against Duo MainTenanT, so he therefore missed out on the Final.

In January 2021, Blaque competed on TBS' reality competition entitled 'Go-Big Show' wherein he reached the Semi-Finals.

In October 2022, Blaque auditioned for the ninth series of the Italian Competition series 'Tu Si Que Vales', however he failed to reach the following round.
