Amirita Binita Chetry (Otherwise known as Binita Chetry or Binita) is a dancer who placed 3rd in Series 18 of Britain's Got Talent. She was aged 8 at the time of her audition and hailed from Assam, India. When asked what bought her to the show she responded 'Because [BGT] is my dream stage and I want to win it' and when asked what she'd do if she ultimately did win she responded 'I would like to buy a big Princess house'.
In her audition, Chetry performed a dance routine to Tommee Proffit & FJØRA’s cover of 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor, with her routine incorporating several martial arts styled moves. Bruno remarked 'You have the strength of a tiger and the positions of a boa constrictor like a python on the stage', with Alesha adding 'I'm literally lost for words [as] you were doing moves that I've never seen before'.
In the Semi-Finals, Chetry performed an acrobatic martial arts styled dance routine upon both a set of a staircase, the stage and in front of the judges desk to 2WEI and Edda Hayes’ cover of ‘Survivor’ by Destiny’s Child. Amanda remarked I don’t think it’s any coincidence that you’re dressed in the same colours as Wonder Woman [as] that was girl power on that stage’, with KSI adding ‘It was so powerful, so fierce, you took control of the stage and made it yours’. She won the Public Vote and advanced directly onto the Final.
In the Final, Chetry performed an acrobatic martial arts styled routine to Lorde’s cover of ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ by Tears for Fears. Amanda remarked ‘When I look at you, I hope Marvel or some other franchise are looking at you’, with Bruno adding ‘My fierce little tiger, she gets stronger every time she goes on stage unleashing the power of dance’.
