Birds of Paradise

Alexander Ostrovskiy (Otherwise known as Birds of Paradise & Mr Fun) is a novelty act who participated in Series 14 of Britain's Got Talent. He hailed from The Ukraine.[1]

Their audition was shown between the first and second auditions of Honey & Sammy. The act entered the stage under what appeared to be a green cloth. Throughout the performance several birds were revealed under the cloth, first on the performers hands, then on the performers head, then on the performers knees and feet.

In their audition, the birds 'sang' a medley of songs, including 'Let's Get Loud' by Jennifer Lopez, 'We Will Rock You' by Queen and 'The Ketchup Song' by Las Ketchup. Both Amanda & Alesha buzzed his performance. Simon remarked 'Our kids will love this act', however Amanda was not a fan, stating 'It would be lovely at a children's' party' but ultimately saying 'no'. They advanced onto the following round, however they failed to reach the Semi-Finals.

Before BGT[]

In 2012, he auditioned for Ukraine's Got Talent.

In 2018, he auditioned for Romania's Got Talent as Alex Ostrovskiy with a foot puppet show however it is likely that he failed to reach the following round.

In 2019, he auditioned for Italian competition series Tu si que vales, once again as Alex Ostrovskiy where he performed his Birds of Paradise routine, however despite this he failed to reach the following round.[2]

After BGT[]

In 2021, Ostrovskiy auditioned for the Sixteenth Season of America's Got Talent as Alexander Ostrovskiy wherein he played two trumpets to 'The Greatest Love Of All' by Whitney Houston, however he was eliminated during the audition stage of the competition and he therefore failed to reach the following round which was the deliberations.
