America's Got Talent is another Got Talent show that was created by Simon Cowell, alongside the entirety of the worldwide Got Talent brand. The show was originally supposed to air following the first season of Britain's Got Talent having aired it's first series in 2006, yet this version of the show was originally planned to me referred to as 'Paul O'Grady's Got Talent' and was meant to be hosted by the late Paul O'Grady, after O'Grady had hosted a pilot version of the show (This was not the first episode of Series 1 in 2007). However complications arose when O'Grady became involved in a row with ITV as he did not like the title of the show, and therefore refused to appear on another of the broadcaster's programme, before he eventually defected to Channel 4 to continue hosting his teatime show, effectively putting plans for Britain's Got Talent on hold until 2007. In a 2010 interview he claimed that the original judging panel was to be Simon Cowell, Fern Britton (In place of Amanda Holden) & Piers Morgan. Following the row with ITV however O'Grady was banned from the studios, however he later rang Simon and informed him that he had a huge hit on his hands, yet there were no way that he could host it as he stated his belief that if he were banned, he had to be banned from everything and did not wish to be a hypocrite and come in exclusively to host 'Britain's Got Talent'. This saw America's Got Talent broadcast it's first season in 2006 a year ahead of Britain's Got Talent's first season in 2007. This category is for acts who appear on Britain's Got Talent & America's Got Talent whether they are Untelevised, broadcast on the main show, or broadcast on the sister show and for acts who originally competed on America's Got Talent prior to competing on 'Britain's Got Talent: The Champions'.
