Chantaaaal is a drag act, a flutist and a singer from France who auditioned for Series 17 of Britain's Got Talent. They were aged 33 at the time of their audition. When asked if they believed they could win, they stated that they believed they could.
In their audition, they played the flute to 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion before singing the song while dressed as the ocean, the Titanic and the Iceberg that it hit causing it to sink. Bruno remarked 'I nearly burst my gut [as] I was laughing so much', with Amanda adding 'Nowhere else on earth would four people be talking to someone dressed up as a ship'. They advanced onto the following round, however they failed to reach the Semi-Finals.

Controversy[]
Following the broadcast of their performance, a total of 78 viewers complained to Ofcom due to how they believed it was insensitive that an act which mocked the Titanic tragedy was aired on television with some viewers even going as far as to question whether or not there were any other tragedies that would be deemed acceptable to mock following the performance as they found the mockery of the Titanic tragedy to have been rather unacceptable due to the fact that the real Titanic tragedy actually saw people die.[2]
