Craig Ball is a singing impressionist who reached the Final and placed 6th in Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent.
In his audition, he performed 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus, singing each line as an impression of someone else, with these impressions including Morgan Freeman, Mickey Mouse, Christopher Walken, Elmo, Stewie Griffin, Peter Griffin, Gollum, Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, and Scooby Doo. David remarked 'What a brilliantly original way to do impressions', with Alesha adding 'That was so funny [and] I did not expect that'.
In the Semi-Finals, he performed 'Hello' by Adele, whilst performing impressions of Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Shrek, Donkey, Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Elmo, and Yoda. Simon remarked 'I think kids in particular are going to absolutely love this act', with Amanda adding 'It feels like one of those things that could go viral [and] it just felt very modern and very fresh'. He won the Public Vote advancing immediately onto the Final.
In the Final, he performed 'Wrecking Ball' once again, whilst performing impressions of Kermit the Frog, Stewie Griffin, SpongeBob SquarePants, Peter Griffin, Miss Piggy, Mickey Mouse, Shaggy, Gollum, Eric Cartman, Elmo, and Shaggy & Scooby Doo. Simon remarked 'You could be still a Dark Horse in this competition', with Alesha adding '[the mistakes didn't matter] if anything it makes it more funny [and] it makes you human'. He finished the competition in sixth place overall.
Controversy[]
He was later accused by the British Public of plagiarism as they had noticed similarities between some of the impressions that he performed and those of American YouTuber Brian Hull who is a comedian and impressionist who sings multiple songs whilst performing multiple impressions of Cartoon Characters.[1]
