Curtis Elton is a pianist who auditioned for both Series 5 and Series 8 of Britain's Got Talent, making the second round on both occasions. He received widespread media attention due to the way he was treated by Britain's Got Talent Producers.
Series 5[]
Elton first auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in Series 5, aged 7. After his audition, Amanda remarked that she 'loved' Elton's performance, with Michael joking that his own son could barely speak, let alone play the piano to the level of Elton.
After advancing through the audition, Elton was told he had not made the next round just days before he was meant to travel to London, leaving him 'Devastated and confused'. His audition was not aired, however it received media attention for the way he was removed from the show.[1]
Series 8[]
Three years later, the show's producers asked Curtis to take part in Series 8 of the show. Elton was aged 10 at the time of his audition, and his audition was televised on this occasion. He played a classical piano piece which impressed the Judges, with David describing him as 'A little Liberace', with Alesha adding 'You are a superb piano player'.
Despite Curtis' family making it clear that they did not want the same events to occur again, Elton once again received a phone call informing him that he would not be required to travel to London for the deliberation. This left Curtis and his family very frustrated, especially since people were still placing bets on Curtis to win the show.[2]
After BGT[]
After his appearance on the show, Elton took up ice dancing. In 2017, he received the silver medal in the Basic Novice Ice Dance category at the British Figure Skating Championships, alongside his sister Sophia.[3]

- Both times he was eliminated via phone call so was another act with Series 5's being Peter Spider who like Elton had his audition Untelevised, and Series 8's being Andy Jackson who had his audition Untelevised, unlike Elton whose 2nd audition was televised.
