Danny Posthill

Danny Posthill is a comedic impressionist who reached the Final of Series 9 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 28 at the time of his audition.

Posthill started performing impressions when he were in Secondary School before deciding to become an impressionist professionally, yet at times when audiences didn't enjoy his performances he feared not being paid. Before his performance he stated that he believed it'd be the biggest moment of his life. When asked by Simon what the comedy circuit were like now, he responded that the money weren't brilliant and how you had to do a lot of gigs in order to get paid.

In his audition, he performed impressions of John Bishop, Gary Barlow, David Beckham and Michael McIntyre, and proceeded to make remarks about Michael McIntyre. Alesha remarked 'What you do is so difficult and you've made it look so easy [and] I'm sure there's many more impersonations that you can do', with Simon adding 'I think you got the great reaction because the end was great [and] your funny'.

In the Semi-Finals, Danny performed impressions of Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Alan Carr, Sarah Millican and hosts Ant & Dec, as well as commenting on how each accent sounded, and making a remark about Amanda's lack of a bra. Amanda commented that he had a 'brilliant personality underneath', whilst David described Posthill's performance as having been 'absolutely brilliant from start to finish'. He reached the Judges Vote and received two votes from Alesha & David, whereas Simon & Amanda voted for Jesse-Jane McParland, thus seeing the vote revert back to the Public Vote wherein Danny placed 2nd.

In the Final, Danny performed impressions of Paddy McGuinness, Keith Lemon, Johnny Vegas, Big Brother, Lee Evans, Dara Ó Briain and hosts Ant & Dec. Amanda commented that he had 'smashed it tonight', whilst David remarked 'you came out with a whole new set of characters'. He ultimately placed 7th overall.
