David Williams is an ashtray player who auditioned for Series 1 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 66 at the time of his audition.

David Williams was the first ever televised auditionee on Britain's Got Talent. When Piers asked David what his talent was, he responded 'I play an ashtray with a key', adding that he had been playing for 'around 25 years'.

Within seconds of his audition beginning, all three Judges had pressed their buzzers. Simon asked 'what else would you have expected?', with Williams replying 'a little longer, actually'. Dec remarked backstage 'it's fair to say we haven't had the best of starts', with Ant joking 'Ah well, Britain hasn't got talent. Bye bye'. He was sent home during the audition stage of the competition.
