Derek Neate (Otherwise known as Hot Lobster) is a comedic musician who auditioned for Series 14 of Britain's Got Talent. He was born in Bristol and lived in Weston-Super-Mare at the time of his audition.
He entered the stage dressed as a lobster, announcing that he would be performing an original song, which he hoped 'would become as good as Baby Shark'. He then began his performance, a song about a woman falling in love with a 'hot lobster', which very quickly resulted in all four Judges pressing their buzzers. Simon joked 'that made Baby Shark sound like Mozart'. He did not advance through to the next round, however he thanked the Judges and the audience for the experience of auditioning.
