Cursons

Bessie Cursons is a singer and theatrical performer who reached the Final of Series 1 of Britain's Got Talent. She was aged 11 and was a schoolgirl at the time of her audition.

In her audition, she performed 'All I Want Is A Room Somewhere' & 'Wouldn't It Be Loverly' from My Fair Lady. Piers remarked 'That was the most charming thing I've seen in this whole competition, your gonna go to the West End [and] I would put money on it', with Simon adding 'That was the most professional audition I've seen throughout the whole competition [and] your super super talented'.

In the Semi-Finals, she performed 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' from Mary Poppins, whilst wearing a Red coat, black hat and holding onto an Umbrella. Amanda remarked 'I worried that [your audition] might have been your big party piece, but for me I preferred this', with Simon adding 'I mean it was just great, I mean it was professional, it was charming [and] it was entertaining'. She won the Public Vote and advanced immediately onto the Final.

In the Final, she performed 'Get Me To The Church On Time' from My Fair Lady. Piers remarked 'I think you might be the most naturally talented of [everyone who applied for the show this year]', with Amanda adding 'I think this is the last time we're not going to have to pay to see your performance [and] I would absolutely pay to come and see you at the theatre'.
