Gabriella Burnell is a comedic singer and musician who auditioned for Series 5 of Britain's Got Talent. She was aged twenty six at the time of her audition and worked as a part time piano teacher for children aged between 5 and 6.
Before her performance, Burnell stated 'My thing is writing songs on topical issues so I couldn't get any more topical than the three people who I'm about to face'. When asked how long she'd been performing for it and if it were going well she stated that she'd been doing so for about 3 years and that it weren't going that well as she were auditioning for the show.
In her audition, Burnell sang an original song about each of the judges with the hook 'Please don't buzz me off, don't buzz me off just yet', however at one stage during the hook David pressed his buzzer, before she later concluded her performance by blowing a kiss. Michael described Burnell's performance as 'Absolutely Brilliant', with David going on to describe Burnell's song as 'Very clever and very cute'. She advanced onto the following round, however she failed to reach the Semi-Finals.
