Gatis Kandis is a Latvian comedic rapper and a comedian who auditioned for Series 5, Series 6 and Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent, reaching the Semi-Finals in Series 6 and the second round in Series 5 and Series 10. Gatis is now a Youtuber who makes videos in a similar style to his 'strange' comedy act.
Series 5[]
In Series 5, Kandis performed a comedic rapping piece. His performance was buzzed off. Michael informed him that he disbelieved he would be advancing any further in the competition, which Kandis understood. Amanda described his performance as being 'Just, not good'. He was ultimately sent home during the audition stage of the competition.
Series 6[]
In Series 6, Kandis began his performance asking if there were any guys with big muscles in the audience. However nobody stated there were, so Kandis spoke about them and the fact that they were so heavy, and had the inability to ride a pony, but the ability to break a toilet seat. Kandis then performed a piece on women being attracted to what's inside of a man, before he then made remarks about not being able to live with or without public toilets, and having to see things in order to believe them. Simon described his performance as 'Absolute rubbish', however it really made him laugh, with David describing his performance as being 'So bad that [it were] actually funny'.
In the Semi-Finals, Kandis made remarks about being single, performed an impression of a lion, made remarks about how he was looking for a feminine girl like someone who could milk a cow before asking to be booed as he then said a cow would say moo, before making remarks about the previous joke being clever, his liking of unisex toilets, Amanda's laugh, and about fans. Alesha remarked 'Your hysterical, my favourite one is still are you well, no you are a person', with Amanda adding 'It was funny in a really odd [and] bizarre way'. As he left the stage he asked the audience to have some fantastic dreams that night.
Series 10[]
In Series 10, Kandis made remarks about liking warm weather as a warm up joke, and not telling his chicken it had a birthday as it wouldn't understand, before then barking like a dog. Kandis then asked Simon if he had a dog, before he stated he had three. Kandis asked if he would tell his dogs that joke when he returned home before Simon joked he would. Kandis then made remarks about his liking of watching couples kissing, before turning around and stating that if anyone wanted to follow him that were what he looked like from behind. Amanda described his jokes as 'Just ridiculous', with Simon adding that he was 'The only comedian' that had ever made him laugh. He advanced onto the following round, however he failed to reach the Semi-Finals.
