Ian is a keyboard player who auditioned for Series 2 of Britain's Got Talent. When asked who he would compare himself to, he stated 'Paul McCartney'.
In his audition, he played the keyboard to a classical piece of music, before singing a rendition of 'Make Me Smile' by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel. His performance was buzzed off. Simon described his performance as 'Utterly atrocious', with Piers adding ‘More like Heather Mills McCartney, then Paul McCartney'. He was sent home during the audition stage of the competition.
