Jack and Cormack

Jack Duff and Cormac Connell are a singing duo who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 7 of Britain's Got Talent. Jack was aged thirteen at the time of the duos audition, whereas Cormac was aged fourteen at the time of the duos audition. The duo both hailed from Meath, located in Ireland, with Jack hailing from Meath & Cormac hailing from Meath County.[1]

The duo had previously competed in a school talent show and several people came up to them and informed them that they were brilliant, so they therefore made the decision to audition. When asked what the big dream was Jack stated he wanted to sell out arenas, whereas Cormac stated that he wanted to perform at the Royal Variety.

In their audition, Jack sang 'Little Talks' by Of Monsters and Men, whilst Cormac played the guitar at certain portions of the song, however towards the conclusion of the duos performance Cormac began to sing alongside Jack. David described the duo as a 'Sort of One Direction meets Simon & Garfunkel', with Alesha adding her belief that Jack had a 'Beautiful' voice, and that the duo had 'Great potential'.

In the Semi-Finals, Jack sang 'I Knew You Were Trouble' by Taylor Swift, whilst Cormac played the guitar, until they reached the chorus at which point Cormac began to sing alongside Jack whilst still playing the guitar. Amanda remarked 'You sound organic, and little bit raw and that's what is charming about you', with Simon adding 'I actually see a future for you two'. The duo advanced onto the Judges Vote, however they ultimately lost this vote to Gabz.

After BGT[]

Since BGT, the boys have gone their separate ways and Jack has since joined a group called RoadTrip. He left the band in 2020. In May 2020, Jack released his debut single entitled 'Bad For Me', however it failed commercially.[2]
