James Boyd was a variety act who auditioned for both Series 3 & Series 4 of Britain's Got Talent.

Series 3

In his first audition Boyd attempted to break the Guinness World Record for eating the most Ferrero Roche's within a singular minute. Boyd ultimately failed as he was only able to eat four, and was sent buzzed off. When asked by Simon what the closest he had ever come to he responded 'about six'. Piers commented that he liked people who attempted to 'break World Records, but four Ferrero Roche's doesn't seem to be particularly outstanding', with Amanda adding that she honestly believe she could do 'better than [Boyd had done]'. Simon added that if he were trying 'watermelons' or something else that was 'difficult to swallow' then there may have been a future in attempting to break those kinds of Guinness World Records for Boyd. He was eliminated during the audition stage of the competition.

Series 4

Boyd returned the following year in Series 4. In his second audition he attempted to break the Guinness World Record for eating the most After Eights, without using his hands within a minute. However, he once again failed to do so as he were only able to eat five, and was buzzed off. Simon described Boyd's performance as being 'worse then the Ferrero's', with Piers adding 'James, it's all over'. He was later sent home during the audition stage of the competition, once again.
