Jerome Dehedin

Jerome Dehedin (also known as Jerome Dufosse Marley & The Jerome Experience) is a drummer who auditioned for Series 8 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 47 at the time of his audition. He hailed from France, however had been living in the UK since 1996. Before his audition, Dehedin stated he planned to provide a 'jaw-dropping experience'.

In his audition, he played the drums whilst seated on a giant wheel, which began to rotate as he played. However, as he reached the top of the wheel, all four Judges buzzed, causing him to wait as the wheel returned him to the correct rotation. During this period, the auditions of Mzz Kimberley and Giorgio Petris were aired. Alesha described him as 'a drumming hamster'. He was sent home during the audition stage of the competition.

Before BGT[]

In 2002, Dehedin established a Guinness World Record by becoming the first and only single artist drummer to play drums for 30 minutes on board a Dakota DC3 Aircraft at 3500 feet. He had previously set the Guinness World Record for loudest drummer in the world with the highest peak recorded at 109.1 decibels.

In 2007, Dehedin performed an exhibition of freestyle drumming, to a live audience at the Bay Tree Public House in Grove, Oxfordshire, UK. During the course of this performance, Jerome established four new World Records. The first was to beat his own record as the worlds loudest drummer by recording a sound level of 115.0 decibels. Within the overall performance he was also able to set three more Guinness World Record's for 'The average of double bass drum beats over ten minutes', 'The fastest double bass drums, legs only, in one minute', & 'Double Bass with legs only'.[1]
