
Joseph Charm is a comedian who placed 5th in Series 18 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 32 and was unemployed at the time of his audition after having resigned from his job to pursue a career in comedy. He originated from Southeast London, however was residing in Milton Keynes at the time of his audition.
In his audition, Charm sang a brief rendition of 'Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)' by Backstreet Boys before making remarks about parenthood, seeking respite from children by taking them to nursery and becoming a father for the second time recently. Alesha remarked 'I loved that because it is genuinely so relatable but more importantly your delivery and confidence and charm on stage really shone and I'm very happy for you', with Simon adding 'This obviously means a lot to you, comedy I think is the hardest thing to do when you audition because [if] you lose the audience, there's nothing you can do but you just won us over and I really like you'.
In the Semi-Finals, Charm entered the stage to ‘Bills’ by LunchMoney Lewis before making remarks about his family, resigning from his job, having people mistake him for Idris Elba, Alesha’s outfit choice, cousins from overseas trying to claim money off of him, living in a cost of living crisis. questioning where he and his family would holiday and his mother’s crush on Simon Cowell causing his father to attempt to emulate him. Alesha remarked ‘I loved you on you when I first met you and I was praying tonight that you would deliver [and] your energy, enthusiasm and passion was shining in all of its glory’. He advanced directly onto the Final after acquiring Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer which she allowed Joseph’s mother to press alongside her.
In the Final, Charm sang a brief rendition of ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ by Bon Jovi before going on to make remarks about his mothers absence, the similarities between his father and Simon Cowell, being a bad communicator, being hypocritical, gen-z children & their attitudes, his ambition to play in Soccer Aid for UNICEF and the mixed reaction following his acquisition of Alesha’s Golden Buzzer in the Semi-Finals. Amanda remarked ‘That was your best performance yet and comedy is subjective and it should take you to the edge’, with Bruno adding ‘Timing brilliant, the physicality brilliant, we were just crying of laughter [and] your observational comedy was brilliant’.

In December 2023, Charm appeared on the 1st series of the ITV revival of ‘Deal or No Deal’ where his box was revealed to have contained £75,000 after he took a deal worth £13,900 from The Banker earlier in his game.

- Joseph is the second act who did not acquire a Golden Buzzer in the auditions to acquire a Live Show Golden Buzzer. He was preceded by Jasmine Rice and followed by Harry Moulding.
