- ↑ According to media reports this Series was initially scheduled for 2006 and would have been hosted by the late Paul O'Grady rather than Ant & Dec, would have had Fern Britton on the judging panel in place of Amanda Holden and was supposed to be called 'Paul O'Grady's Got Talent', yet O'Grady was banned from ITV, after a row with the broadcaster, which effectively put plans for the show on hold for a year, and saw America's Got Talent host its first ever series a year beforehand, Ant & Dec hired as hosts, Amanda Holden added to the judging panel and its name changed from 'Paul O'Grady's Got Talent' to 'Britain's Got Talent'.
