Lucky

Leilani Franco (Professionally known as Lucky) is a contortionist who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 6 of Britain's Got Talent. She hails from the Philippines.

Her audition was shown in a montage of quick yeses alongside Area 51, Fish on Percussion and Greig Stewart. In her audition, she performed 'I Just Don't Know What to do With Myself' by Dusty Springfield, stretching her body into a strange position, and jokingly hitting her head with her foot. Simon remarked 'I thought if you can combine those elements, your going to make a fortune, I've never seen anything like that before'.

In the Semi-Finals, she did not sing, however she managed to play the piano, make tea and put a strawberry in her mouth using just her feet as 'Mad World' by Matt Andrews and 'Sweet Dreams' by Emily Browning served as backing music during her performance. David remarked 'I liked that you did something very different to your audition', with Amanda adding 'It like a scene from Blade Runner or something, very odd but very entertaining'.

Before BGT[]

From 2008 to 2010, Franco worked exclusively with Cirque Éloize as a contortionist. In 2010 she won the Cirque du Demain Paris – Coup de Coeur Award for Leilani and Sancho duo, contortionist award.

In 2011, she moved to London to work as a freelance artist in clubs and cabarets such as The Box Soho, Cafe de Paris, Supperclub, The Old Vic Tunnels Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at various shows with the old Boom Boom club (now Boom and Bang Circus) in South Bank, London. In 2011 she appeared at Eurovision as a solo dancer whilst for Turkey whilst the rock group Yüksek Sadakat performed. Later in 2011 she won the SolyCirco Festival GOP – Star of Tomorrow Award.

In 2012 she won the Stoli UK Original's Award for the subject of a documentary produced by Stoli and directed by Martin Smith.

After BGT[]

Later in the same year she competed on Germany's Got Talent, wherein she failed to reach the live shows. Coincidentally they auditioned in the same series as Lucky who was montaged alongside them during her BGT audition and both acts reached the BGT Semi-Finals, whereas neither reached the Germany's Got Talent Semi-Finals.[1]

The following year she auditioned for France's Got Talent where she failed to make the live shows. From 2013 she has participated in the show Little Big World by Sebastiano Toma in Germany. Additionally, she worked in the show Dummy at Chameleon Theatre as a replacement. In 2013 she was a finalist on UK Circus Meximus.

She holds two Guinness World Records, which are; the Guinness World Record for travelling a distance of 20 m (65 ft 7.2 in) in a back-bent position in a time of 10.05 seconds and the fastest contortion roll over a distance of 20 m (65 ft 7.2 in) in a time of 17.47 seconds.
