Mal Ford is a performer who participated in Series 11 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 74 at the time of audition, and stated that the 'Wanted to meet the Royal Family, to be truthful'.
In his audition, he played the keyboard, and began singing 'La Bamba', during which all four Judges buzzed, however Mal continued. Ant and Dec tried to get him to stop, however he did not understand what they were saying and continued, and encouraged the audience to join in. He concluded the performance with a rendition of 'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside'. Eventually, all of the Judges bar Simon gave him a 'yes', sending him through to the next round.
Whilst his audition was being aired the footage switched to show auditions of both Will Oldfield and Des Dillon. Once he had left the stage, Alesha remarked 'We're gonna regret that come deliberation day'. Mal was the second act this series to be buzzed off and still reach the next round, following Irshad Shaikh. However, like Irshad, he did not reach the Semi-Finals.
