Michael Late is a comedic magician from Austria who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 9 of Britain's Got Talent. He was forty four at the time of his audition.
In his audition, he had two women dancing on stage, before he two got him out of a barrel. He then had the two women stick his head into an open accordion before he returned to the stage. Simon described the trick with the barrel as having been 'good', with Amanda going on to describe Michael as 'A lot of fun'.
In the Semi-Finals, he had two men dressed as yodellers spin a wooden toilet portacabin around to have the door face the stage, before Michael exited and re-entered it to get a stick on beard to wear, along with a fisherman's hat. He then had a table pushed towards him before taking the tablecloth off of it and covering himself with it for a mere few seconds, before dancing whilst holding the tablecloth before another could be seen on stage. He then repeated covering himself with a tablecloth before placing it on the stage, before the two tablecloths could be seen dancing on stage, as Michael went to retrieve a third and fourth in order to repeat the manoeuvre a third and fourth time. His performance culminated as he returned to the toilet portacabin that he had began his act within before four women emerged from beneath the tablecloths and Michael exited the toilet portacabin and re-entered the stage. Alesha described his performance as 'so random but so entertaining', with David adding 'It was fun, its magic but it was just really fun and comical, I really enjoyed it'.
