Narinder Dhani

Narinder Dhani was a musician who auditioned for Series 9 of Britain's Got Talent. Before his act, he claimed that he could play a 'unique instrument'.

When his act began, it was revealed that this 'instrument' was a comb. Simon Cowell was not impressed and pressed his buzzer, alongside Amanda & Alesha's buzzers however Ant and Dec then entered the stage, also playing the comb to 'The Final Countdown' by Europe. However these buzzing's were later redacted. This persuaded the other three Judges to send him through to the next round. David described the performance as being 'very entertaining', adding his belief that he could 'put money on [Dhani] being in the Final of [the show]', with Simon describing the performance as 'properly the worst thing [he'd] ever heard'. He later advanced onto the following round, before then reaching the Semi-Finals.

In the Semi-Finals Dhani played the comb to 'Eye of The Tiger' by Survivor, and 'The Final Countdown' by Europe once again whilst stood on a small platform upon the stage, with a golden background, as several other people beneath this platform played guitars as orchestral accompaniment. Once again Ant & Dec played combs, however this time they but stood upon the stage and did so. He was buzzed by Simon. Amanda described his performance as being like 'Sweep' from Sooty & Sweep singing, with Alesha adding 'it was great fun, [BGT] acts are the best'. Dhani was eliminated in the semi-final round coming ninth on the night.
