Richard Bayton

Richard Bayton is a singer who auditioned for Series 8 & Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent, making the Semi-Finals in the latter.

Series 8[]

In Series 8 Richard sang 'I Am What I Am' whilst wearing a gold shirt. Simon compared it to 'someone who comes out of a cake at a wedding and sings'. He advanced onto the following round, however he failed to reach the Semi-Finals.

Series 10[]

Two years later Richard auditioned for the show once again during Series 10. In his second audition, he performed a medley of songs, including 'Shut Up and Dance' by Walk the Moon and 'Tomorrow' from Annie. Simon pressed his buzzer, however David forced him to clap, saying 'You've got a smile on your face, you loved it'.

In the Semi-Finals, he also performed a large medley of songs, including 'ABC' by The Jackson 5 and 'Let It Go' from Frozen. Alesha described it as 'bonkers, ridiculous, everything I love about BGT', however Simon described it as 'horrendous' and described his music choice as 'the weirdest mix of songs'. Bayton finished in 8th position in his Semi-Final.

Before BGT[]

In 2013, Bayton auditioned for the tenth UK series of ‘The X Factor’. Although his audition was never televised, he was eliminated in the Arena Auditions.

After BGT[]

Since performing on the show, Bayton has launched a Youtube channel entitled Fabaret.[1]
