Sarah Ikumu is a singer who reached the Final of Britain's Got Talent in Series 11. She received Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer.
In her audition, after stating her song choice, Simon remarked 'that's one of the biggest songs out there - and you think you can do that?'. In her audition, she performed a rendition of "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls. Once she had performed, Simon pressed his Golden Buzzer, commenting 'It started off really well, then it was like you were possessed halfway through'. Amanda described it as 'mind-blowing' and remarked 'I couldn't believe you were only 15'.
In the Semi-Finals, she performed 'Purple Rain' by Prince, with a choir joining in after the first chorus. Simon remarked 'what you do isn’t perfect but you put your stamp on it', adding 'of all the years that we’ve ever done Britain’s Got Talent, you are the best singer who’s come on here'. Amanda simply stated 'you were utterly phenomenal'. Sarah eventually finished third, behind Ned Woodman and Tokio Myers, but she was brought back as a Wildcard by the Judges.
In the Final, she performed 'Rise Up' by Andra Day, with a choir providing backing vocals in the chorus. David remarked 'you’ve come back, and you’ve come back to win', with Alesha adding 'that was like a masterclass in vocal gymnastics'.
