The ninth series of Britain's Got Talent aired in 2015, and was won by dog act Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse. Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams returned as judges, while Ant & Dec continued to host the main show and Stephen Mulhern continued to host More Talent.
This was the first ever Series to include two wildcard acts with the first voted for by the Public based on the five third placed acts from the Semi-Finals and one of these five third placed acts selected by the Judges as the Judges Wildcard.
This Series features the record in terms of the lowest recorded voting percentiles between Semi-Finalists with this being non-existent within the voting percentiles acquired by both The Neales & Boyband with both acts acquiring 17.6% of the Public Vote, which is something that has never happened again since this Series. Had the Judges Vote have been tied, it is unknown how the situation would be resolved, but the show could have provided one judge a casting vote, the judges could have been tasked with deciding who should advance before guaranteeing the latter act the Wildcard, or the act with the higher number of votes rather than the percentage of votes acquired by both acts in the public vote would have been chosen to advance onto the Final. Ironically, despite having the same voting percentile in their Semi-Final, The Neales were able to beat Boyband in the Final by 2.1% of the vote (Boyband had 1.5% and The Neales had 3.6%).
