Jasper Cherry

Jasper Cherry is a magician who reached the Final during Series 14 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 14 at the time of his audition, and hailed from Lancashire.

Cherry began his audition by showing the judges a simple magic trick - placing a handkerchief into his hand, only for it to turn into an egg and the handkerchief returning to his pocket. He then showed them how to perform the trick - by hiding the egg in his hand, pushing the handkerchief into the hold in his egg and having a second handkerchief in his pocket. He then remarked that the trick would be ruined if the side of the egg with the hole was shown, before remarking 'unless you are a real magician' and pulling a sticker off the side of the egg where the 'hole' was and cracking the egg into a glass. David remarked 'We've never seen it presented like that, and none of it phased you which is incredible', with Alesha adding 'You ticked every single box'.

Cherry's Semi-Final performance centred around Judge Ashley Banjo; he began by giving him his 'backstage pass' before ringing his phone with his own phone without touching either. He then filmed himself and the Judges on Ashley's phone, before making a deck of cards appear from a box and asking David to pick one (5 of diamonds). When the video Jasper recorded was re-played, it was revealed that the card had been both on the screen behind the Judges, and in the pass Jasper had given Ashley. Finally, Ashley was asked to check in his jacket pocket, where the card had appeared. Amanda described the trick as 'Absolutely phenomenal', with Ashley adding 'It was such a high-level, well executed, technical performance'. Cherry won the Public vote, advancing through to the Final.

In his Final performance, Cherry announced that he had created a drinks carton which could 'create any drink in the world instantly'. Using the carton, he created orange juice, milk, cherry-cola, strawberry milkshake, Rosé Wine, and a drink of Ashley's choice - beer. He then tore the carton open to prove that there were no hidden compartments inside. David remarked 'I just loved how original it was', with Ashley adding 'You make what you do look so easy'.
