Twist and Pulse are a street-dance duo who finished as Runners-Up in the Final of Series 4 of Britain's Got Talent. The duo consisted of best friends Ashley Glazebrook (Twist) & Glen Murphy (Pulse) who originally auditioned as a member of dance group Peridot in Series 3 of Britain's Got Talent.
In their audition, the duo performed a street & comedic dance routine which included several flips to a medley of songs, including the EastEnders theme tune and a song by The Cheeky Girls. Piers remarked 'I thought that was terrific', with Amanda adding 'I think you've just shown us a glimpse of the future'.
In the Semi-Finals, they danced to a mix involving 'Rude Boy' by Rihanna, and 'Get Busy' by Sean Paul. Amanda remarked 'It's just genius, I love the storytelling [and] I love the music', with Simon adding 'It's different [and] it's unique'. They placed second in the Judges Vote, with two votes for them, and one vote for The Fusion, therefore meaning Twist & Pulse advanced onto the Final.
In the Final, they danced to a comedic mix of songs. Piers remarked 'Sometimes people say its a disadvantage to go first in the Final because people won't remember you [but] I think in this case it has been a massive advantage for you two as you have set the bar for others to follow', with Simon adding 'For me this was the best routine we've seen on you so far'. They concluded the final placing as Runners-Up to Spelbound.
In 2012, they entered their own dance group, the Twist and Pulse Dance Company, into Britain's Got Talent.

They later appeared on Magic Numbers, The 5 O'Clock Show, This Morning, Teen Nick, and The Seven Thirty Show. They were guests on Celebrity Juice, The Slammer, The seventy day Olympic Torch Relay Tour, and guest performers during several events. They were also guests on Jodie Marsh Brawn, CCTV News, Let's Dance for Comic Relief (Performing alongside finalist Simon Brodkin, who later auditioned for Series 10 of BGT as Steven Goldblatt during one performance), and made up part of team That's Showquiz on game show Tenable.
In 2019, Twist and Pulse represented Great Britain on BGT: The Champions (Series 1). In their performance the duo performed several dance styles to 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman' from Frozen, 'Big For Your Boots' by Stormzy, 'Lollipop' by Mika, 'We Are The Champions' by Queen, 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran, & 'Boasty' by Wiley, featuring Stefflon Don, Sean Paul, and Idris Elba. Simon remarked that he did not believe that they had been 'given enough credit' over the years, with Alesha adding that she found their return 'so refreshing' before giving the duo her Golden Buzzer.
On Friday October 4th 2019, the day before the Final of BGTC Twist and Pulse appeared as guests alongside Darcy Oake on Good Morning Britain. They announced that they had planned to go on tour the following year of 2020.
In the Final the duo performed several dance styles to 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion from Titanic, Toy Story's 'You've Got A Friend In Me' by Randy Newman and Lyle Lovett, 'Pony' by Ginuwine, 'Fancy' by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX and 'GDFR (Going Down For Real)' by Flo Rida. Amanda remarked that she loved their sense of humour and mixture of dance, with David describing their performance as 'The most perfect mix of two great things, comedy and dance'. Later the pair won the show outright over Stavros Flatley and Ukraine's Got Talent winner Kseniya Simonova.
In February 2020, four months after their win on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, the duo appeared on an episode of the revived series of 'Crackerjack!', becoming the second BGT contestants to do so, with the first being Paul Burling, and the third being Flawless.
